Venison Burger Buns

½ pound ground elk
2 buns (cut in half)
Salt and pepper

Put the ground elk into a mixing bowl. Add ½ cup tomato ketchup and a shake or two of salt and pepper. Mix the batter. Then take the knife and spread the burger batter over each bun half. Be sure the buns are covered all over with burger batter. Place them on a cookie sheet and put them into the hot broiler for 10-12 minutes.

* You can include onions, peppers, etc. to suit your own taste.

Note from chef: We like to broil one side in the broiler and then put it on the bun and broil the other side.
